Louis Fourie is a South African-trained clinical psychologist based in Dubai. He is registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai and as a Registered Counsellor with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
He completed his BPsych Counselling degree in South Africa, gaining clinical experience in community clinics and hospital settings where he worked with individuals facing trauma, mood disorders, substance-related difficulties, and family stress. He later completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the United Arab Emirates University and has since worked within multidisciplinary clinical and educational settings in the UAE, supporting adults, adolescents, and children from diverse cultural backgrounds.
His clinical work spans a broad range of psychological concerns, with particular interest in anxiety, trauma, stress-related difficulties, and emotional regulation. He supports individuals experiencing depression, adjustment challenges, interpersonal difficulties, and psychological distress related to life transitions. He also works with children and adolescents experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties and collaborates with parents and schools where appropriate.

Louis practices from a trauma-informed, integrative therapeutic framework, tailoring therapy to the needs of each individual. His work primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and psychodynamic and attachment-informed approaches when clinically appropriate. He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and integrates this approach when working with trauma and distressing experiences.
