Prof. Dr. Frank Gerald Pajonk (German Board Certified)

Prof. Pajonk was awarded for his outstanding career as one of Germanys Top Psychiatrist for 5 consecutive years according to the FOCUS Ärzteliste. He has over 25 years of professional experience in psychiatry and psychotherapy and as Professor of Psychiatry at the Technical University of Munich, Germany.

Prof Pajonk is world-renowned for both his clinical and scientific work. He authored about 200 scientific publications and edited numerous books.

Prof. Pajonk received his degree in medicine from the University of Munich in 1993 and started, after working in emergency and intensive care medicine, a specialization in psychiatry and psychotherapy. He earned his degree in psychiatry 1999 at the University of Hamburg. From 2001-2002 he participated in the development and approval of a new depot antipsychotic medication for an international pharmaceutical company. In 2002, he finished his training in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy and was appointed Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Hamburg. Soon after, he was appointed Senior Psychiatrist, Lecturer and Associate Professor of Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry at the Saarland University Hospitals and served as Vice-Chairman, in 2006 he was finally appointed Full Professor of Psychiatry. In the years to come he also finished his training in Geriatric Medicine, Addiction Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

From 2007-2011 he became Medical Director of a big psychiatric hospital in Lower Saxony, Germany, and since 2012 he started building up an outpatient and day-clinic facility for patients with private insurance south of Munich (Isartal Center for Mental Health), becoming soon one of the biggest institutions in Southern Germany.
